Miles Darby is an experienced lawyer, businessman, and investor. Miles’ family has been in the oil and gas and real estate businesses in East Texas and Northern Louisiana for three generations. In addition to his legal practice, he manages a family business that includes oil and gas investments, real estate development, and retail. Miles understands the businesses of the firm’s clients and uses that business knowledge and experience in solving clients’ legal problems.

Legal Experience
From 1995 to 1997, Miles worked for the Texas State Treasury and Texas Comptroller’s Office. From 1997 to 1999, Miles worked for his family business and started Bar-K Ranch Store, Darbex Energy, LP, and Bar-K Land Company, a residential real estate development company. From 2000 to 2006, Miles served as Of Counsel to the law firm of Bunt & Wright, PLLC, where Miles focused his practice on representing East Texas business people in business litigation, business transactions, civil litigation, and probate.
