Brandon W. Freeman

During his career, Brandon has been involved in the early formation and management of several successful ventures—serving as a founder and CEO of LayerOne, a founder and Chairman of Cypress Industries, and a founder and Chairman of DataBank. Freeman has participated in a number of buyouts and bankruptcy related restructurings, including the successful acquisition and turnaround of communications, energy, and real estate assets. In 2000, Brandon formed Freeman Group to start and acquire businesses that leverage his operational background and transaction skills. At Shore Freeman Mills, Brandon counsels the firm's clients on the acquisition and divestiture of oil & gas and energy-service businesses and assets and on the formation and management of private equity partnerships and investments across a broad range of industries.

Prior Associations
Freeman began his legal career as a corporate and securities attorney at the firms Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati P.C. and Fulbright & Jaworski LLP, where he counseled emerging growth companies – public and private – across a broad range of industries, including biotechnology, communications, energy and software. Prior to his legal career, Freeman worked in the oil and gas industry acquiring, financing, drilling and operating oil and gas properties.
Brandon lives in Dallas and actively supports the Dallas Museum of Arts, the Dallas Architecture Forum, and the Park Cities Preservation Society.
